Patricia Trapp

Patricia E. Dricsoll Trapp age 68 of Erie, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday October 4, 2012 at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center. She was born in Erie on March 27, 1944 a daughter of the late George and Helen O’Niell Driscoll. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters; Mary Foessett and Nancy Abel. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Donald F. Trapp Sr., their children; Mary (Patrick) Kearney, Donald F. (Sherry) Trapp Jr., Kevin (Gerry) Trapp and Jonathan (Mindy Rice) Trapp, 17 grandchildren; Megan, Courtney, Kate-Lynn, Kiely, Ryan, Logan, Matthew, Amanda, Morgan, Kyle, Kieran, Aiden, Gianna, Brandon, Tyler, Madison and Miranda and two sisters; Jean Nies and Dotty West. After raising her family Patricia went back to school and graduated from Villa College as a Registered Nurse. She worked locally at UPMC-Hamot, St. Vincent and Tri State Pain before retiring in 2005. She was a member of both St. Anne’s and St Boniface Catholic Churches and enjoyed going to the Sunday Latin Mass at St. Anne’s. Patricia was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and held dual citizenships with the USA and Ireland. Along with her husband she was a proud foster parent to over 100 children. Patricia was very passionate about her gardens especially tending to her flowers. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, 16504, on Saturday from 7 to 9 PM and Sunday from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount of Olives Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Church School 9367 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, PA 16509.
