Richard Wayne Zombro, 66, of Bunker
Hill, WV died on Sunday, July 1, 2007
at the VA Medical Center.
Born February 3, 1941 in Martinsburg, WV
he was the son of the late James Franklin
and Emily Custer Zombro; and adopted parents,
Pete and Ada Mae Glessner.
Richard was on dialysis for twelve years
and received four kidney transplants
twenty years ago.
He was a veteran of th US Army.
Mr. Zombro was a member of St. Leo
Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus,
and a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
He is survived by his wife of seventeen
years, Brenda Richmond Miller Zombro;
step-mother, Ruth Dixon of Martinsburg;
two sons, Jody W. Zombro of Williamsport,
Richard Lee Zombro of Berkeley Springs;
two daughters, Cammy Lynn Burtner of
Clear Spring, MD, and Admona Mae Snow
of Gerrardstown; two step-sons,
Craig D. Miller of Bunker Hill and
Brian W. Miller of Funkstown, MD;
twenty grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; one brother,
Larry Zombro and wife, Sharon of
Berkeley Springs; and four sisters,
Vicki Shaffer and husband, Rick, Frances
Kilmer, Elizabeth Everhart and husband,
Bob, all of Martinsburg, and Dorothy
Weaver of CA.
He was preceded in death by one brother,
Gary Glessner; and two sisters, Pauleen
Zombro and Helen Orr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated on Thursday, July 5, 2007
at 1:00PM at St. Leo Catholic Church
with Rev. Brian Shoda celebrating.
Military graveside services will be
held at St. Leo Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday,
July 4, 2007 at 6:00PM to 8:00PM at
the Brown Funeral Home's South Berkeley
Chapel in Inwood.
