– Mr. Michael N. Dailey 69, beloved husband of Martha (Ring) Dailey died Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Beverly Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Marie (McCarthy) Dailey. He graduated from the Huntington School in Boston and continued his education, attending Graduate Business School at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Suffolk Law School in Boston.
Mr. Dailey had been the proprietor of Dailey’s Restaurant and Pub in Middleton for the past thirty five years.
A resident of Beverly for twenty two years, Michael was a longtime and active member of the Salem Country Club in Peabody and enjoyed many years as a member of the Black Rum Golf Association. He was a loving husband, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared forty years of marriage, he is survived by his brother-in-law, John Ring and his wife, Vera of Milford, two nephews, Michael Ring and Paul Ring and several cousins and many dear friends. He was also the brother of the late Robert Dailey and Paul J. Dailey Jr.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch St., Beverly, Friday, October 26 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location) Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Michael’s memory to the Mass General North Shore Cancer Center, 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.
