Thomas“Tom” LeRoy O’Dell, 78, Muncie, IN. passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the Liberty Village Care Center. He was born in Indianapolis, IN November 18, 1929 the son of Wendell C. and Edna (Risley) O’Dell. He remarried Jeannie (Thompson- Lines) O’Dell in August of 1987 and lived in Muncie, IN. Tom worked 141/2 years in electrical maintenance at Uniroyal and retired in 1992 after 45 years as an electrician. He was a 25 year member of the F&AM Lodge #694 of Beech Grove, IN. Tom loved to fish, do woodworking, enjoyed family cookouts and holiday gatherings. He previously attended Bethel Church of Christ. Surviving relatives include one daughter, Cheryl Huffman (George), a son, Thomas W. O’Dell, four step-sons, William A. Patterson, Paul Patterson ( Darlene), David W. Patterson (Terri), and Mark A. Lines (Marsha); two step- daughters, Sue Catron and Rita Rhoades; a step son-in-law, Keith Healey, step daughter-in-law Rhonda Lines. a sister Shirley Burnworth, one brother Marion O’Dell (Delores), a sister-in law, Bettye O’Dell, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie O’Dell, and a former wife Mary Lou O’Dell, a daughter, Karen Jordan, a brother Boyd O’Dell, a step-son, Keith E. Lines a step-daughter, Diane Healey, and both parents. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 in Muncie, Indiana 47303. Minister Don Craycraft will officiate the services. Viewing will be on Wednesday August 13, 2008 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana.
