EAST BROOKFIELD - Clifford F. Larsson Sr, 89, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on October 28, 2012. Clifford was born in Waltham, on October 2, 1923 a son of the late, Martin and Josephine (McKivitt) Larsson and spent his early years in the Boston area. He was a decorated Army Air Corp. Veteran serving in World War II, having flown in 40 combat missions over Germany. Clifford was employed by and retired from Boston Edison. While living in Watertown and in his younger years, Clifford coached Little League Baseball and was Babe Ruth President. He was also a Mason for over 50 years, most recently being a member of the Oxford Lodge. He also enjoyed sports, including the Boston Red Sox, and being an active participant in archery and bowling. Clifford also was an accomplished photographer and had a special talent for woodworking. He was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley (Underhill) Larsson in 1987 and by his second wife, Edith (Merill) Larsson in 2010. Clifford was also predeceased by his 3 brothers, George, Joe and David. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Lee Gallien and her husband Nathan, with whom he lived; a son, Clifford F. Larsson Jr. of San Diego California; 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral services are private. There are no calling hours.
