Ms. Lois Holsonback age 99, of Armuchee, GA, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012, in a local hospital.
Ms. Holsonback was born in Rome, GA, on May 29, 1913, the daughter of the late Robert Edward Holsonback, Sr. and Alice Owens Holsonback. She retired as a secretary with A.G. Edwards. Ms. Holsonback spent all of her life in Rome and Floyd County. She was a member of Floyd Springs United Methodist Church since age fourteen and was the oldest member. In addition to her parents, Ms. Holsonback was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Broome and six brothers, Alton, Grady, Owen, Carl, Hubert, and Robert Edward Holsonback, Jr.
Survivors include a brother, M.L. Holsonback of Armuchee, GA and a sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Houston Touchstone of Armuchee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December2, 2012, at4:30 P.M. in the Floyd Springs United Methodist Church with Dr. Wayne Hopper and Rev. Carl Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in the Floyd Springs United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until the funeral hour in the Floyd Springs United Methodist Church and at other hours the family may be contacted at the home of Hazel and Houston Touchstone 240 Rosedale Road, Armuchee, GA.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Floyd Springs United Methodist Church by 4:00 P.M. on Sunday: Keith Touchstone, Kenneth Plemons, Michael Plemons, Jason Sanders, Cody Hughes, Wayne Holsonback, Gary Johnson, and Weyman Mathis.
