Mr. Bobby Lee Doss Jr. age 53 years a resident of 506 Williamson Ave. in Belington departed this life Saturday evening December 15th 2012, in the Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center at Elkins. He had been in declining health for the past several months. He was born August 11, 1959 at Welch, WV a son of the late Bobby Lee Doss Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Waddell Doss who survives at Charleston. On June 17, 2009 at Myrtle Beach S. C. he was united in marriage to the former Cheri Lynn Thorne who survives at their home in Belington. Also surviving are two sons; Ryan Doss of Huntington, Sean Doss of St. Albans, two daughters Kelly Doss and Kara Doss both of St. Albans. Additional survivors include five step daughters, Cierra Davis, Megan Davis, Mariah Davis, Kelsey Thorne, and Kaytee Thorne all of Belington, three sisters Debbie Rectenwald and husband John of Charleston, Becky Crary and companion Phil Knapp of Poca, and Teresa Willis and husband Bill of St. Albans. Also surviving is his faithful canine companion Hershey and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Doss was a 1978 graduate of the George Washington High School and was a graduate of the University of Central Florida. He was the general sales manager of The Home Show and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a Methodist by faith and was an avid golfer and was a multi sports enthusiast. Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 6-9 PM on Tuesday December 18th 2012 and again on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted with the Pastor Gary Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery at Hall, WV where full military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post # 96 of Belington. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care 169 Diamond Street Elkins, WV 26241.
