Obituary for Geneva Stamper

Geneva Stamper, 89, of Pendleton, IN died Wednesday June 24, 2009 at Saint John’s Hospital in Anderson, IN. She was born on October 15, 1919 in Rowan County, KY the daughter of James and Lillie (Porter) Johnson.
Geneva loved her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of the McCormick View Chapel in Muncie, IN. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid mall walker and enjoyed gardening and painting.
Surviving relatives include one son and three daughters, Claudette King of Muncie, IN; Everett Stamper (wife: Jan) of Pendleton, IN; Jean Johnson of Muncie, IN; Martha Randall (husband: Bob) of Naples, FL, one brother, Glennis Lewis of Valrico, FL; grandchildren, Donald Stamper, Mark Stamper both of Muncie, IN; David Stamper (wife: Stacey) of Fortville, IN; Rhonda DeFrees (husband: Phil) of Muncie, IN; Scott King of California; Ranae Stamper of Muncie, IN; Lisa Jeffers of Canton, GA; Susan Zirkle (husband: Steve) of Albany, IN; Sally Frost (husband: Todd) of Brownsburg, IN; Jeramy Rhodus of Pendleton, IN; Emily Stamper of Pendleton, IN; Lori Tapley (husband: James) of Albany, IN; Sandy Smith of Muncie, IN; Alyssa Conner (husband: Brent) of Bedford, IN; Jennifer Randall of Muncie, IN; great-grandchildren, Megan, Derek, Cody, Josh, Rebecca, Matt, Jacob, Randal, Shannon, Lindsey, Kristopher, Monica, Andrew, Lee, Nathan, Natalie, Adrienne, Evan, Mischon, Nick, Madison, Jamie, Adelynne, Vanessa, Benjamin, Lilianne; 10 nieces and nephews and several cousins; and two special friends Willard and Susie Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Donald Wilson, five sisters, two brothers, one son-in-law Frank N. Johnson and her former spouse Claude E. Stamper.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday June 29, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Joe Roysden will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
