Southbridge/Hyannis...Armand J. Brault, 96, a former longtime resident of 179 Charlton Street Southbridge, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at The Pavillion Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hyannis where he has resided for the past several years. He would have celebrated his 97th birthday January 2. His wife of 63 years was the late Jeanne (Archambault) Brault who died in 2007. He leaves a son Donald A. Brault of Granby, MA and a daughter Diane and her husband William Bennett of Dennis, MA, 4 grandchildren Jonathon Bennett, Peter Bennett, Timothy Brault and Nicole Brault, a sister Julie McGrath of Southbridge, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Emile J. Brault, and 2 sisters Laurette Houde and Simone Robida.. Born in Southbridge, January 2, 1916, son of Wilfrid and Marie Anne (Asselin) Brault, and resided here most of his life. He was a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of the League of Sacred Heart of Blessed John Paul II Parish. He graduated from the former Mary E. Wells High School Class of 1935. Mr. Brault retired from the American Optical Co. where he worked for over 42 years. For many years, he and his wife were members of the Intertown Square Dancers. A calling hour will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013, from 8:30-9:30AM at Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy Street Southbridge followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Notre Dame Church 446 Main Street Southbridge, with Rev. Jonathan Slavinskas officiating. Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery N. Woodstock Road Southbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Health Hospice of Cape Cod (www.homehealthco.org)
