Ruby Esther Jenkins

Ruby Esther Jenkins, 83, of Franklin, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013. Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Gregory and Amanda Houston Gregory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley William Jenkins; three sons, Troy William Jenkins, Thomas Howard Jenkins and James Edgar Jenkins; sister, Ruth Hedden and a brother, Troy Gregory. Ruby loved to play Bingo and poker. She enjoyed fishing, camping, reading and collecting dolls. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Mae Cisneros and husband Pete of Franklin; five sons, Richard “Rick” Jenkins and wife Eva Nell, Jerry Jenkins and wife Vicki, Carlos Jenkins, Ray Jenkins and wife Beverly and Joe Jenkins and wife Becky all of Franklin; brother, Harold Gregory of Stanley, NC; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 13th, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Owens and Rev. Barry Bowman will officiate. Burial will bei n the Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 12th, at Macon Funeral Home. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Angel Hospice Foundation, 170 Church Street, Franklin, NC 28734. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
