Iva Mae (Seeley) White December 11, 1921-February 23, 2013 Iva Mae (Seeley) White, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the Woodland Hospice House. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate Iva’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. A luncheon will immediately follow the service in the Reflections Reception Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Woodland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel Iva was born on December 11, 1921, to Albert and Sylvia (Huntoon) Seeley in Shepherd, MI. Iva graduated from Shepherd High School in 1939. She married the love of her life, Forrest White, on March 3, 1939, in St. Louis, MI. Iva earned her LPN nursing degree and later her Nursing Administrator degree. She had a passion for helping others and worked as a nurse at the State Home and Training School in Mt. Pleasant for twenty years and later an assistant administrator at the Golden Acres Nursing Home in St. Louis, MI. Upon retirement, Forrest and Iva managed Corps of Engineering Parks for several summers before moving to their home at Dream Valley Ranch in Mission, Texas. Iva and Forrest shared 59 years of wedded bliss. Iva enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, dancing, crocheting, sewing, spending time with her family, and playing cards and Bingo with her friends. Iva is survived by her daughter, Louise (Bud) Percha of Remus, MI; and son David (Loretta) White of Circleville, OH; seven grandchildren, Jeff (Cheryl) Percha of Mt. Pleasant, Ann (Jeff) Mueller of Grosse Pointe Woods, Al (Jodie) Percha of Mt. Pleasant, David (Dwana) White II of Centerville, OH, Sean (Becky) White of South Bloomingville, OH, James (Kim) White of Florissant, MO, Jaime (Ty) Sanford of Weidman; twelve great-grandchildren, Nick (Lindsay) Pohl of Holly, MI, Ashley (Brian Gore) Pohl of Shelby Township, MI, Brandon (Lindsay) White of South Bloomingville, OH, David White III and Damon White of Circleville, Hunter White of South Bloomingville, OH, Gavin Percha, Karlie Percha, and Aiden Percha of Mt. Pleasant, Paige Richardson, Natalie Sanford and Shelby Sanford of Weidman, MI; and her best friend and roommate at the Laurels, Kitty Mularz. Iva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Forrest White, her sisters Clara Heistand and Betty Noack, her brother Wilson Seeley, and her son Carl White.
