F. Richard Lill (Dick), 89, Normandy Beach, New Jersey died Wednesday June 29, 2011 at Harrogate Health Center, Lakewood, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, lived in Ho-Ho-Kus for 30 years before moving to Normandy Beach in 1979. In Ho-Ho-Kus he was active in the Boy Scouts of America, Youth Activity Council and the YMCA. While living down the shore he was a Trustee and Past President of the Toms River Seaport Society and a member of the Manasquan Elks Lodge #2534. Dick was also a member of the Air Force Association, Rosendahl Chapter, 354th Pioneer Mustang Association, and the 9th Air Force Association. He went to Erasmus Hall High School and Ursinus College. He served in the United Stated Army Air Corps during WWII ETO P 51-354th Fighter Group 355th Fighter Squadron. He is predeceased by his wife Corinne E. Lill in 2008. Surviving is his daughter Corinne and her husband Ray Lynch of Norwood, NJ and five sons: Craig and his wife Chris Lill of Pine Beach, NJ; Scott and his wife Diane Lill of Barnegat, NJ; Bruce and his wife Brenda Lill of Lee Summit, MO; Brett and his wife Cheryl Lill of Charleston, RI and Rick and his wife Janet Lill of Normandy Beach, NJ. He was blessed with and survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. His amazing blue eyes, big heart and ever-present kindness will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Dick and Corinne's life together will be held on Sunday July 10, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Hwy 35 N, Lavallette, NJ. A chapel service will be held on Monday July 11, 2011 10:30 am at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
