ELTON S. JONES Elton S. Jones, the son of John Henry Jones & Christina Ann (Krouse) Jones was born on April 10, 1916 in Tecumseh, Ok. He passed away on September 09, 2009 in Pryor, Ok at the age of 93 years. Elton was employed by Mr. Fred Fleak at FleakÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Sheet Metal Shop in Pryor for many years. He also worked for the former Tap Jac Lumber Yard in Pryor retiring in 1978. He loved squirrel hunting and fishing and working on lawn mowers. He and his wife attended the Valley Heights Free Will Baptist Church in Salina. Elton had lived in Mayes County for the past 83 years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2009 in the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel of Pryor. Burial will follow in the Bryan Chapel Cemetery in Boatman, Ok. The family will receive visitors on Sunday evening from 3 p.m. till 5 p.m. He is survived by 3-Sons: Richard Jones of Pryor, Thomas V. Jones & wife Jackie of L.A. California, Terry L. Jones & Wife Jo Ellen of Oolagah, Ok, 1-Daughter: Carol Potts & husband Bill of Coweta, Ok. 1-Step-Daughter: Shirley Ann Richardson of Peggs, Ok. 8-Grandchildren, 2-Step Grandchildren, 13-Great Grandchildren 3-Step Great Grandchildren, 2- Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: His wife Verna in 2004, 6-Brothers-3-Sisters & his parents.
