Obituary for Barbara A. Korda

Barbara A. Korda, 77, of Sebastian,FL, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach, FL. She was born in South Ostelic, NY and resided in the Sebastian area for nearly 40 years. She worked 40 years in the food service industry, most notably, Marker 1 Restaurant in Sebastian, FL and Sloan’s in Vero Beach until her retirement in 2008. Mrs. Korda is survived by her husband of 25 years, Robert Korda of Sebastian; sons, Patrick (Carol) Coon of Biloxi, MI and Jon (Bobbie) Coon of Gainesville, GA; step-sons, Robert (Vonda) Korda of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Korda of Omaha, NE; step-daughter, Danielle Korda of Gainesville; sisters, Dorothy (Richard) Huntley-Charles of Thonotosassa, FL, Lois (James) O’Hara of Wabasso, FL, Nancy (Richard) Walker of Chittenango, NY and Kay (Charles) Deushle of Thonotosassa, FL; half-brothers, John and Ricky Huntley of Earlville, NY; half-sister, Judy (Peter) Mulvihill of Baldwinsville, NY and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Neil Huntley and Lillian Zawatsky, and half-brother, James Huntley. At Barbara’a request, there will be no visitation or service. Donations may be made to VNA and Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
