Doris Marie Folkers, 84 of Rural Delavan died at her home on Thursday, April 25, 2013 of natural causes. Doris was born July 1, 1928 in Walworth Co.WI the daughter of Reinhold and Dagmar (Olsen) Schoenbeck. She married Gordon Folkers, August 14, 1954 in Ellkhorn, WI. Doris farmed the Folkers Family Farm from 1954 to 1986. She then worked for ECM for 15 years in Elkhorn. Doris was a devoted grandmother and a extraordinary Gardner. She is survived by her husband, Gordie of Delavan and two sons, Greg (Susan) Folkers of Darien and the Brian Folkers of Delavan. 3 grandchildren, Jennifer, Amber and Cody. 1 great grandchild, Aubrey. 2 sisters, Ruth Munger of Burlington, WI and Grace Schoenbeck of Elkhorn. She was predeceased by one grandchild.. Funeral Services will be 10:30am Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Delavan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stan Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 9am to 10:30am on Monday, at the Church. Memorials may be made to the Methodist Church. Betzer Funeral Home of Delavan. .
