Susan R. (Beilchick) Tomasko, 91, of Heilwood, PA, died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was the daughter of Michael and Kathryn (Duga) Beilchick, born on December 1, 1917 in Heilwood, PA. Susan was a member of the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alverda, PA. She was a 1935 graduate of Pine Township High School. Susan enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading, most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and liked to visit with relatives and friends. She is survived by three sons, James and wife Marilyn of East Freedom, PA; Thomas and wife Tracie of Houtzdale, PA; and Robert of Heilwood, PA; four grandchildren, Mark, Andrew, Vanessa and Amy; one sister, Christine Anderson of Winter Haven, FL; one brother, Paul of Heilwood, PA., and numerous nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Tomasko, in September, 1986; sisters, Katherine Novak, Marie Franklin, Anna Ratay, and Elizabeth Klamar; brothers, Michael, John, Steve and Edward and infant sister Mildred. Friends will be received at the Bence Funeral Home in Clymer on Friday, May 8, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Ebel officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Indiana.
