Leonard Bertrum “Lenny” Carver, Sr., 58, of Interlachen, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville following a brief illness. He was a native of Parkersburg, West Virginia and had lived here since 1978 coming from New Jersey. He had worked as an auto mechanic shop manager. He is survived by his companion of 23 years, Julie Switzenberg; son Lenny Carver and fiancé Melissa Zaner; step-sons, J.R. Smith and Robby Ostrander; daughter, Heather Carver; step-daughter, Jessica Smith; sister, Debbie Donnelly; brother, Jim Carver; half-sister, Leona D’Annunzio; 9 grandchildren, plus a grandson on the way and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Saturday, May11, 2013 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Dr. Herman Rios officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery in Interlachen. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Friday. Memories and Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.JohnsonOverturffunerals.com.
