David W. Shuey, 47, of rural Bellefonte, was pronounced dead on May 25, 2013, in Boggs Township. Born Nov. 16, 1965, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late William L. and Dorothy L. Lucas Shuey. On July 18, 2009, he married the former Stephanie A. Snyder, who survives at home. He was a 1983 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School, a 1984 graduate of Triangle Institute of Technology and a 2004 graduate of Northampton Community College in the Mortuary Science Program, AAS Degree with honors. Dave was a manager for Service Master Fire & Restoration Co. by Holobinko of State College. He had also been a licensed funeral director for the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home in Milesburg and had also worked at Silver Maple Monument. Dave was the owner of Shuey Trade and Transport. Dave was a member of Milesburg Presbyterian Church. He was a member of C.H. & L. Fire Co. #9 of Milesburg where he was past Assistant Chief, Milesburg American Legion Post #893, a member of PFDA and NFD Association. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Megan L. Shuey, of Karthaus; one son, Curtis L. Shuey, of Bellefonte; one brother, Jeffrey L. Shuey, of rural Bellefonte; and many cousins aunts and uncles. Services will be held at Milesburg Presbyterian Church, 103 Turnpike St., Milesburg with Rev. Barbara E. Mosch officiating. The day and time of the services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boggs Township, Centre County. Memorial contributions may be made to Dean K.
