Frankfort – Services for Imogene Metts Redmon, 85, will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 18, 2013, with Reverend Todd Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will be received beginning at 12:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hutcherson passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Heritage Hall Health Care, Lawrenceburg, KY.
Imogene was born May 5, 1928, in Franklin Co., KY, one of four children to the late Claude Dawson and Lona T. Brumback Metts. After 44 years as a seamstress for Union Underwear, Imogene retired to enjoy camping at the Kentucky River Campground with friends and her husband of 48 years, the late Robert Allen Redmon. She liked to bake and cook and could duplicate a recipe based solely on her keen sense of taste. Mrs. Redmon was a member of the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church.
She is survived by Son, Robert D. (Connie) Redmon, Daughter, Dana B. (Ronald) Winkel, and Son, Duane A. (Marylou) Redmon, all of Frankfort; Grandchildren, Kristi Redmon, Somerset, KY, Michael Pierce, Nashville, TN, Heather (Jonathan) Presley, Frankfort, KY, Ryan Winkel, Frankfort, KY, Peyton Redmon, Frankfort, KY, Corey Johnson, Frankfort, KY, Paige (Jeff) Griggs, Lexington, TN, and Chris Martin, Shelbyville, KY; Great Grandchildren, Kamryn Presley, Ian Presley, Reagan Brown, and Brendyn Peach; Brother, Roy C. (Patti) Metts, Ocklawaha, FL, Sister, Betty J. Cline, Dundee, FL, and Brother, Billy S. (Brenda) Metts, Frankfort, KY. In addition to her spouse and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby D. Metts.
Doug Redmon, Duane Redmon, Ron Winkel, Michael Pierce, Jonathan Presley, and Corey Johnson will serve as Pallbearers.
