Don Christian “Chris” Johanson, 56, of Pipe Creek, Texas passed away June 15, 2013. Funeral services will be 10AM, Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Mexia with Pastor David Mitchell and Mark Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Chris was born December 30, 1956 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Don and Robbie Johanson. After graduating from Mexia High School in 1975, he went to Texas A & M University, where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was self-employed. Chris’ greatest love and pleasure in life was spending time with his wife and daughters. He was a member of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Johanson; and nephew, Riley Welan. Chris is survived by his wife, Kay-Kay Johanson of Pipe Creek; daughters, Claire Elise and Madeline Grace Johanson of Pipe Creek; mother, Robbie Johanson of Mexia; sister, Jennifer Welan of Ft. Worth; and nephew, Ethan Welan. Pallbearers will be James Jones, Eddie Plummer, Gary Pryor, Kelly Geautrau, Kenny Jones, Don Miller ,David Camacho and Mark Wilburn.
