Obituary for June C. McSwiney

Beverly- June C. ( Johnson ) McSwiney, 86, beloved wife of the late Arthur M. McSwiney,died Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Beverly Hospital. Born in Beverly, Ma; June was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ida ( D’Amour ) Johnson. She was raised and educated in Beverly and a graduate of Beverly High School Class of 1945. A long time Beverly resident, June loved to cook, and was avid reader,and always looked forward to having family and friends over for the holidays. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her . June is survived by her daughter Ann Quinlan and her husband Paul of Peabody. Two sons, Paul D. McSwiney and Myles E. McSwiney both of Beverly. One brother Richard Johnson and his wife Ann of Kissimmee, Fl. Her two sisters, Caroline Rapisarda and her husband Thomas, of Leesburg, Fl. Laurette Sanford and her husband Ronald of Chicopee, MA; two grandchildren, Erin E. Moore and her husband Eric of Beverly; Brian McSwiney also of Beverly and many nieces and nephews. June was also predeceased by her daughter Martha McSwiney; a daughter in law Janet L. McSwiney; and a grand daughter Sarah McSwiney. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, Friday June 28, 2013 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. As requested by the family there will be no Visiting Hours. Contributions in her memory may be made to North Shore Hospice 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA. 01923.
