In today’s changing world with climate change and environment concerns, “Honoring a Life” allows for family and friends to plant a memorial tree in honor of their loved one and friend. The purchase of a tree creates a beautiful permanent record on the Honoring a Life website, www.honoringalife.org. Each tree is planted through the efforts of Forestry Services throughout North America who determine where the greatest needs for reforestation are. Once planted, the geographical location where the tree is planted will be added to the record. A beautiful card is also sent to the family signifying your thoughtful gesture.

LAFRANCE, Rhéal – At the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. Rhéal Lafrance of 1604 Montreal Road, age 84 years. Beloved husband of 55 years to Huguette (Lapalme) Lafrance. Dear father of Johanne Lafrance-Cardinal (Jean-Luc), Normand Lafrance (Marie-Claude), Gizanne Allaire (Marc) and François Lafrance (Julie-Anne). Loving grandfather of 9 grandchildren : Pierre-Luc, Marie-Josée, Renée-Claude, Nicholas, Martin, Chloé, Colin, Fabienne and Antoine. Dear son of the late Aquila Lafrance and the late Emilia (Matte) Lafrance. Dear chosen son of the late Yvonne (Moïse) Lafrance. Dear brother of Estelle Therrien, Gabrielle Lafrance, Pauline Champagne, Lucienne Leroux and Jacques Lafrance. Predeceased by Jean-Pierre Lafrance and Jeannine DelaBoursedière. Mr. Lafrance was an Honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841). Funeral Friday, July 4, 2008 for Mass of Christian Burial in Ste-Croix Church at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire cemetery in Crysler, Ontario. The family will be in attendance from 2 p.m to 5 p.m and 7 p.m to 9 p.m Thursday and from 9 a.m until time of Funeral on Friday. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge would be appreciated by the family. LAFRANCE, Rhéal – Décédé le mardi 1er juillet 2008 au Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge. Rhéal Lafrance, du 1604 chemin Montréal, à l’âge de 84 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Huguette (Lapalme) Lafrance, mariés depuis 55 ans, ainsi que ses enfants Johanne Lafrance-Cardinal (Jean-Luc), Normand Lafrance (Marie-Claude), Gizanne Allaire (Marc) et François Lafrance (Julie-Anne). Cher grand-papa de 9 petits-enfants : Pierre-Luc, Marie-Josée, Renée-Claude, Nicholas, Martin, Chloé, Colin, Fabienne et Antoine. Fils de feu Aquila Lafrance et de feu Émilia (Matte) Lafrance, et fils choisi de feu Yvonne (Moïse) Lafrance. Il laisse également ses sœurs et son frère, Estelle Therrien, Gabrielle Lafrance, Pauline Champagne, Lucienne Leroux et Jacques Lafrance. Il fut prédécédé par Jean-Pierre Lafrance et Jeannine DelaBoursedière. M. Lafrance est Membre honoraire des Chevaliers de Colomb. Visites au salon funéraire Lahaie & Sullivan, succursale de l’Est, 614 Première rue Est (613-933-2841). Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi 4 juillet 2008 à l’église Ste-Croix à 11 h, suivies de l’inhumation au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire à Crysler (Ontario). La famille recevra les condoléances de 14h à 17h et de 19 à 21h, jeudi et de 9h à l’heure des funérailles vendredi matin. En guise de sympathie, des dons au Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge seraient grandement appréciés par la famille.
