Obituary for Beatrice Catherine Humphreys

Beatrice Catherine Humphreys, 91, of Salisbury, died on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at John B. Parsons Home. Born in Laurel, DE on January 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Larry and Jennie Joseph Davis.
Mrs. Humphreys attended Riverside United Methodist Church in Salisbury. She worked for Dresser Industries and then for Peninsula Orthopedic Associates. She was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands; William N. Lynch and Leonard Humphreys, a brother; Howard S. Davis and a grandson; Patrick William Lynch.
She is survived by two sons; Larry Richard “Dick” Lynch and his wife Beverley, Pat Lynch and his wife Sharon, all of Salisbury, four step-children; David Humphreys of Parsonsburg, Charles Humphreys and his wife Chris of Virginia, Carroll Humphreys of Pocomoke and Susan Holland of Stockton, a sister-in-law; Joyce Davis, two grandchildren; Carrie Dryden and Jason Lynch and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Wicomico Memorial Park. Rev. Lou Bradley and Pastor Carol Carlson will officiate.
The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the John B. Parsons Community for the special care and tender concern for Bea’s welfare during her stay at the facility, as well as to the staff of Coastal Hospice who demonstrated great concern for her well-being and comfort during her last days.
