Charline M. "Dimple" Allen, 50, passed away July 13, 2012 surrounded by her loving family in her Cumru Township residence.
She was the wife of Dr. David W. Allen, M.D.
Born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, she was the youngest daughter of the late Cornelius and Ethel Maud (Lawson) McKoy.
Charline was a 1979 graduate of Martin Luther King High School, Germantown and a 1983 graduate of Wagner University.
She was a Registered Nurse and worked for Einstein Medical Center and Medical College of PA.
She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Reading.
Charline was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four children: Nicole "Nikki" K. Allen, Wyndmoor; Bryan M., Ericka C. and Jonathan D. Allen, all of Mohnton and her sisters: Pearl Smart, Jamaica; Hope A. and Faith McKoy both of Philadelphia.
She was predeceased by her sister, Maureen McKoy-Farmer.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Christ Episcopal Church, 435 Court St., Reading. A viewing will be Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading and Friday 9 to 11 a.m. in the church. Entombment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hope, Faith and Love Cancer Foundation c/o Christ Episcopal Church P.O. Box 1094, Reading, PA 19603-1094.
