Obituary for David L. Trivett

Mr. David L. Trivett, age 53, of Konnarock, Virginia, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013, from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born May 21, 1960, in Washington County, Virginia, a son of the late Ernest and Wilma Ours Trivett. He lived his entire life in Washington County and was a graduate of Holston High School. He was an employee of Utility Trailer and a member of Green Cove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Elbert Pennington. Survivors include his wife, Kathy L. Trivett of Damascus; two daughters, Carrie A. Trivett of Abingdon and Emily N. Trivett of Damascus; one brother, Keith Trivett and wife Bobbie of Abingdon; his mother-in-law, Martha E. Pennington of Damascus; three brothers-in-law, Wayne Pennington and wife Diana of Fairfax, Virginia, Terry Pennington and wife Nancy of Damascus, and Steve Pennington and wife Janet of Damascus; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P. M. Sunday, August 18, 2013, at Green Cove Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 P. M. until time of the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Monday, August 19, 2013, at the Green Cove Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:50 A.M. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff McCray, John Severt, Matthew Millsap, Billy Stike, Tracy Proffitt, Chris Proffitt, Craig Trivett, Jim Trivett, and Elmer Lee Ours.
