MRS. DORIS ROBERTS HUFF, age 85 of Cornelia, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 at the Habersham Medical Center. Born in Shelby, North Carolina on August 19, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Irene Palmer Roberts. Mrs. Huff was a seamstress for many years, having owned a fabric shop in Madison, Georgia. Upon retirement, Mrs. Huff worked for 5 years as a paraprofessional at Cornelia Elementary School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garey Huff; son-in-law, Andrew B. Campbell; sister, Dorothy Marie Hensley. Mrs. Huff was a member of the Cornelia United Methodist Church, the Wesley Bible Class, and enjoyed gardening and sewing. Survivors include her daughter, Joi Campbell, Cornelia; sons and daughters-in-law, Garey H. “Butch” & Molly Huff, Winder; Michael & Donna Huff, Rutledge; Barry & Teresa Huff, Demorest; grandchildren, B. J. & Audrey Huff, Amy Huff, Catherine Huff, John & Lydia Huff, Jesse Huff, Andrew Huff, Sarah Huff, Ashlee Huff, Aaron Huff, Emilee & Kyle Waldon and Jaclynn Campbell; great grandchildren, Thomas Huff, Molly Huff, Owen Huff; brother and sister-in-law, James H. “Jimmy” & Nancy Roberts, High Point, NC; brother-in-law, Carroll Hensley, Shelby, NC; special friend & neighbor, Mary Funk. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Saturday, August, 24, 2013, at Cornelia United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Smith and Dr. Jay Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the V.F.W. Memorial Park Cemetery, Smith Loop Road, Demorest, GA 30535. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Friday.
