Melbourne, FL Robert M. Bowman Bob Bowman, 78, son of Oscar C Bowman and H Louise Prewitt, passed away at home on Thursday, August 22, 2013 with his wife and priest at each side of him. Bob served in many capacities in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years ending as a Lt. Col. He then went on for 35 years running a non-profit organization dedicated to world peace. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret, sons Robert Jr., John, F Joseph, Thomas, and Timothy; daughters Anne and Peggy, his sons and daughters’ wives and husbands, 21 grandchildren and their spouses, and 4 great grandchildren. A testimonial gathering will be held on Friday, August 30, from 5-7 pm at Beach Funeral Home, 4999 Wickham Road, (321) 751-6012. This will be followed by a Eucharistic Service Saturday, August 31, beginning at 1 pm at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church at 50 W Strawbridge Ave (corner of Strawbridge and Peachtree – 1 block West of Babcock Street). Immediately following will be a reception in the Parish Hall.
