Joseph Linzalone

Joseph Linzalone, 61, of Franklin, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013. Born in Passaic, NJ, he was the son of June Hart Linzalone and the late Joseph Linzalone. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Linzalone. Joe was a fire chief in Washington State; fire chief in Estero, FL; member of the Cowee Volunteer Fire Department serving as President of the Board of Directors; member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, receiving his 30 year pin this year, and was a member of Cowee Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother June Hart Linzalone; his wife, Tina Satchell Linzalone; his daughter, Amy Pacheco (Jose) and their children, Marissa, Nikolas and Lorenzo; his daughter, Megan Thornell and her children, Nevin, Ryan, Alicia and Mia; his daughter, Ashley Hawley (Wes); his step daughter, Danielle White (fiancé Matt) and their children, Chelsea Potts( fiancé Jake) and their children, Jacobe and Graycie; and son, Daniel Potts, III and his son Daniel; his step son, Jason Farnum and his children, Mariah, Dylan, Leila and Annaka; step son, Joshua Farnum (fiancé Lorraine) and their children, Norman, Amara and Abigale; his sister, Donna Quelch (Richard) and their children, Cyndi Gallo (Dave)and Rick Quelch (Christya); and his brother, Cliff Linzalone (Rhonda) and their children, Anthony and Jolene. Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 19, at Cowee Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. David Powell, Chaplain of the International Fire Chief Association and the Cowee Volunteer Fire Department will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 18, at Macon Funeral Home, 261 Iotla Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
