Jeanne Kauffman, 84 of Goshen went to be with her Lord on June 29, 2012 at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born on June 7, 1928 to Ervin and Anice (Brown) Dunbar in Niles, Mich. In 1946 Jeanne married Ledger Kauffman and he passed away in 2000. She remarried in 2004 to Lloyd "Bud" McCollough and he passed away in 2012
Jeanne was 1945 valedictorian at Concord High School. She was a member of Sugar Grove Church and 1st Baptist Church of Elkhart. Jeanne was a founding member of the Kings Witness Quartet. She was an amazing cook and a wonderful mom, grandma, and great grandma; she loved her family dearly. Jeanne loved to play the piano, sing and had a passion for music. The family would like to thank Melissa, Jessica and Connie at Elkhart General Oncology and Dr. Rodriguez, Short and Tall Cheryl and Sheila at Riverpoint.
Survivors include sons Larry D. (Marjorie) of Clark Summit, PA, Daryl E. (Carla) of Freeport, MI, and James R. (Deborah) of Goshen, IN; sisters Beverly Cramer of Elkhart, IN, Sharon Epperly of Goshen, IN. eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday July 5, 2012 from 5 to 9 pm at Hartzler Gutermuth Inman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 6, 2012 at Sugar Grove Church at 2 pm. Burial will follow the funeral services at Prairie Street Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Sugar Grove Church or to the Ribbon of Hope.
