Obituary for Willard H. McBride

Willard H. McBride, 74, of Tilden, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. He was born on February 14, 1939 in Tilden, IL to Harold and Verna (Montgomery) McBride. He married Eris J. Carter on June 3, 1967 in Tilden, IL. He was a member of the Tilden Presbyterian Church and the Tilden Lions Club. He worked at the Zeigler Coal Mine in Coulterville, IL and at the Tilden Auto Service. Mr. McBride served in the U.S. Navy.

Willard is survived by his Wife: Eris McBride of Tilden, IL; 2 Daughters: Leslie McBride Meininger of Tilden, IL and Colleen (R. Dwight II) Seaton of Nashville, IL; 1 Son: John W. McBride of Tilden, IL; 2 Sisters: Helen (Richard) Beckley of Woodlawn, IL, and Judy (Don) Etling of Tilden, IL; 2 Brothers: James B. (Donna) McBride of Coulterville, IL and Larry (Sally) McBride of Marissa, IL; 5 Grandchildren: Zackery Robertson, Jakob Meininger, Bailey McBride, Carter Seaton, and Carson Seaton. He is preceded in death by his Parents and 1 Grandson Gavin Meininger.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Tilden Presbyterian Church

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Tilden Presbyterian Church and on Monday from 8 a.m. until the hour of service at the Church

Officiating: Rev. Dennis Hamilton

Interment will be at Tilden Village Cemetery

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warriors, Tilden Lions Club, Tilden Scholarship, or to the Church of your choice.
