LEAH LORENE HILL-CORNETT, 81, a resident of Dallas died Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Salem . She was born on September 29, 1932 in Lewistown, Illinois the daughter of James Lawrence and Lena Mae Berry Miller. She graduated from the Lewistown High School class of 1950. She married Phillip Charles Hill on August 26, 1951. He preceded her in death while their children were young. Leah worked as a proofreader for the Lewistown Newspaper; a gift wrapper for Montgomery Ward and as a nanny. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, trichem, music, crossword puzzles and picture puzzles.

She is survived by her husband Bobby Cornett with whom she has been with for 29 years, daughters Sheila Adams, Paula (Corey) Becker, Cathy (Terry) Blair, Lisa (Jim) Gido, Sandy and Robyn and son Rodney (Brenda) Hill along with 19 grandchildren: Katrina, Jesse (Cheyenne), Jason, Renee, Melissa (Wyatt), Shannon (Malissa), Vanessa, Megan, Misty, Tenielle (Tim), Rod (Heather), Raylynn, Theresa, Jamie, Matt, T.J., Jeff (Nichole), Tony, Melissa (Brad), Mary, Mandy, Kate and Damon, 24 great grandchildren: Madison, Elizabeth, Xavier, Skyla, Tristen, Trinity, Trenton, Avianna, Brandon, Ellenanna, Ally, Aubrey, Dillion and Brianna and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Arnold Miller, Janice Putman and Dennis Miller and one nephew.

A service was held on Monday, October 28th in the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center with concluding services and interment to be held in Knoxville, Illinois.
