Dr. Kenneth Kay Krueger joined his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 15, 2013. He spent his last days in his residence surrounded by his loving family, after battling an illness. He was born February 17, 1949 in Wharton, Wharton County, Texas to Henry Edward Krueger and Fannie Mae Koehler Krueger. Kenneth is survived by his wife, L. Diane Richardson Krueger of Marshville, North Carolina; two children, his son Tye Edward Krueger of Bend, Oregon; his daughter Tiffany Krueger Massengill, her husband, Bob; and granddaughter, Siena all of Knoxville, Tennessee; his sisters, Carolyne Marie (Penny) Tinsley and husband Wayne of Spring, Texas, and Dorcas (Cass) Martignoni and husband Patrick of Victoria, Texas; brother, Charles Edward Krueger and wife Sherry of Hye, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Kenneth earned his Bachelor of Science, Masters, and his PhD degrees all from Texas A&M University from 1971-1976. After several career opportunities, he opened his own business, Diamond K Research, in 1995 and continued to consult, lecture and teach in the Agricultural world. Kenneth was a very outgoing person. His family was his first priority. He loved the outdoors, raising cattle on his farm, watching wildlife and spending time training his beloved dogs. He was very involved in the Messiah Lutheran Church of Charlotte serving as elder as well as teacher. A Celebration of Life service will be held on 2:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 8300 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC 28277 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Messiah Lutheran Church, 8300 Providence Rd., Charlotte, NC 28277; or Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation, NC Chapter – Charlotte, 4530 Park Road Suite 240, Charlotte, NC 28209; or Levine Cancer Institute, Academic and Research Headquarters, 1021 Morehead Medical Drive, Charlotte, NC 28204 or United States Marine Corps, Wounded Warrior Regiment, 1998 Hill Avenue, CB Quantico, VA 22134.
