Ronald H. Standish, 53, of Milford, CT. passed away at Connecticut Hospice on December 10, 2013. Ronald was born in Milford, CT., on June 2, 1960. He was married 13 years to Donna (McCarthy) Standish and together for 25 years. Ronald started his own business at the age of 18 in tree removal and ventured on to become a successful contractor and owner of Standish Construction.Throughout his life, he was always lending a helping hand and always there to offer advice or to share his wisdom and knowledge. His special hobbies included traveling, fishing, enjoying friends, and most importantly, spending time with his family. Pre-deceased by his mother, Rie (Kitagawa) Standish and his father, Roland F. Standish. He was survived by his wife, Donna, His 2 children, Bryan Wilson, David Wilson, Jr., his wife, Kimberly (Wellington) Wilson, granddaughters, Taylor Wilson and Baby Girl Wilson (due in March). His sister: Susan (Standish) Buglione, brother in law, Frank Buglione and niece, Alexa Buglione. Sister in law: Deborah (McCarthy) Field, brother in law, Gregory Field, niece Beth (Field) Plonsky, and nephew Michael Field. Brother in laws: John McCarthy, Michael McCarthy, sister in law Carol McCarthy and niece, Lauren McCarthy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated, Saturday December 14, 2013 at 10:30 am DIRECTLY in St. Mary’s Church Milford. Friends may call Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St. Milford. Interment will be held in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford.
