Derrick T. Ditzler, 21, of Caseyville, Ill., born Dec. 15, 1991, in Maryville, Ill., died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, in Caseyville, Ill. Derrick was employed with R&M Sewer. He loved to spend time with his family. He was a very loving father to his son Landon, they enjoyed playing in the park and basketball. Derrick was very much into fitness and working out. He was just a fun outgoing guy that everybody liked being with. He will be dearly missed by all. Derrick was a 2010 Collinsville High School graduate. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Nick Ditzler Sr. Surviving are his parents, Nick John and Alicia, nee McNeill, Ditzler Jr., of Caseyville, Ill.; son, Landon Carter "Lando" Ditzler and his mother, Samantha Novak of Collinsville, Ill.; brother, Nick Ditzler (fiancee, Kimberly Witt) of Caseyville, Ill., and their children, Hayley "Sissy" and Easton "Bubba"; paternal grandmother, Sandra Ditzler of Caseyville, Ill.; maternal grandparents, Ron and Brenda McNeill of Caseyville, Ill.; aunts and uncles, Ronny "Oscar" McNeill of Caseyville, Ill., John (Linda) Maher of Caseyville, Ill., Terry (Lori) Ditzler of Caseyville, Ill., Jeannie (Pat) Ward of Louisiana, and Lisa (J.K.)
