Gerhard C. Kaempf a resident of Warrington, died on February 21, 2014 at Greenleaf Nursing Home in Doylestown. He was 78. He was the husband of Barbara C. (Nee Buettner) Kaempf. Jerry was born October 15, 1935 in Philadelphia to the late Karl and Minnie (Schlatterer) Kaempf. He grew up in Philadelphia, with his siblings Marian (Kaempf) Trueman and Carl Kaempf, and graduated from Olney High School. He then joined the Army where he was stationed in France for 4 years. Upon returning, he attended the Spring Garden Institute where he received his Associates Degree. He began his career at Burroughs where he traveled throughout the United States. Upon moving to Warrington he spent the majority of his working years at Leeds and Northrup in North Wales. He was a long time member of Gloria Dei Church in Huntingdon Valley. Jerry was the loving husband of Barbara Kaempf. After marriage they moved to Warrington where they spent 48 wonderful years. Jerry was the loving father of David and his wife Franci (Doylestown), Robert and his wife Kyra (Hatfield) and Steven and his wife Kristin (Sellersville). He was also a caring grandfather to his four grandchildren Kyle, Sean, Emily and Mason. Jerry enjoyed a wonderful and full life by spending his time with his family and friends as well as traveling. Jerry’s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am Tuesday February 25, 2014 at the Shelly Funeral Home 1460 Easton Rd. Warrington. Family will receive friends from 10:00am until the time of service. Internment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery. Huntington Valley, PA., 19006 or to the Charity of the donor’s choice.
