Annie Lillian Toth has joined Frank, her husband and partner in life for 63 years, in Heaven. She passed away peacefully on March 3, 2021 at the age of 84. Lillian is survived by her son, Kirk and Lana, and granddaughter, Casey Joy. She will always be remembered as Chocha Lil by her twin sister’s family: Chery and Gerry Prince, Brian and Tracey Ozga and son, Michael; Dale and Cindy Ozga, daughter, Amanda and son, Ryan; brother-in-law, John and Alice Toth of Morinville, AB; and sisters-in-law, Kay Calvert of Warspite, AB and Barb Toth of St. Albert, AB. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank on February 26, 2020; parents, Harry and Katie Yacyshyn (Sikora); and twin sister, Elizabeth and her husband Mike Ozga; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends over the years. Thank you to the staff of St. Michael’s Extended Care Centre for their exceptional care and compassion for Lillian for the past 6 years. Lillian was born on October 28 ,1936 to Harry and Katie Yacyshyn. She was the youngest twin and was raised on a farm just east of Spedden, Alberta. She graduated from Ashmont High School in 1955. She married Frank in November of 1957 in Spedden’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. They were blessed with their only child, Kirk in 1959. The early years they lived in Boyle community and at the farm in Spedden. In 1965 they moved to Delwood. Here she was an active community member and an active member of the UCWLC at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Lil worked at Woodward’s Edmonton Centre store, for 20 years in the ladies shoe department. She suffered a brain aneurysm in 1992. They traveled and enjoyed cruises, and baby sat their Casey Joy. Frank cared for Lillian until they both moved to St. Michael’s Extended Care in February 2015. They enjoyed each other's company and were inseparable. There will be a viewing on Sunday, March 7 at Park Memorial between 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. A maximum of 10 people in the room at a time will be observed. Divine Liturgy will be held at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 6425-120 Ave Edmonton, Monday, March 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. The very Reverend Mihajlo Planchak officiating with interment St. Michael’s Cemetery 13819-82 Street. Unfortunately, due to AHS restrictions attendance will be restricted to immediate family only. Anyone wishing to view the service, it will be live streamed.
