It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family of Andre Treffle Blais announces his passing on July 9, 2017 at the age of 93 years. Andy was born to Theodore and Clairina Blais in Bonnyville, AB on April 4, 1924, the third child in a family of seven children. Andre was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to many. He will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. Andy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 and half years, Emilia; his children, Leo (Anita), Jean (Rod), Annette, and Raymond (Linda); grandchildren, Steven (Angela), Shannon, Karen (Kire), Leslie, Sarah, Laura (Cole), Shauna and Amy; his great-grandchildren, Kayden and Milana; brother, Albert; and sisters, Laura and Terry. Andy was predeceased by his parents; brother, Harvey; and sisters, Cecil and Germaine. The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to many of those compassionate and caring health care professionals who cared for Andy over the past year. Funeral Mass Thursday, July 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 9040 -95 Avenue, Edmonton with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, 14611 Mark Messier Trail NW, Edmonton.
