It is with great sadness and wonderful memories that the family of Annie Zacharko of Lamont, AB, announces her passing on May 5, 2016 at the age of 99 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Angeline (Alex) Stelmach, Myron (Nadine), Nestor (Elizabeth), Laurence, Lorraine (Richard) Andruchow; ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, Kenneth (Michelle) Stelmach – Marya, Nicholas, Sadie, Natalie; Andrea (Ryan) Chmilar – Teklya; Teena (Dan) Makowichuk – Rylee, Brayden; Tammy (Curtis) Danilak – Sarah, Zachary; Terry (Delane) – Madeline, Alyena; Wayne (Christine) – Kendall, Austin; Greg (Holly) – Miles, Jamie; Jonathan (Anna) – Simon; Andrew (Kristy) – Linden, Tucker; Pamela (Darren) Wagner – Ava, Jonah. She is survived by sister-in-laws, Lennie (John) Chichak, Pauline (Stanley) Skubleny, Sophie Zaharko, Sylvia Zacharko, Sylvia J. Zacharko. Annie was predeceased by her husband, Andrew (1996); her parents, Peter and Mary (Rudko) Synyshyn; grandson, Timothy Zacharko, sisters and brothers, Sr. Andrea SSMI, Tillie Kuchmak, Nicholas and John. The family would like to thank the staff and residents at Beaverhill Lodge for their friendship and care as well as the nursing staff at Lamont Health Care Centre for their compassionate care. Mom’s kind and gentle personality will always be remembered by everyone that knew her. Prayer services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. and Divine Liturgy on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church, Skaro, Alberta. Basilian Fathers officiating with interment at Skaro Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Skaro Church Building Fund, Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate, or House of Studies.
