The family announces with sorrow the passing of Donald Alexander Fraser on July 20, 2017, at the age of 102 years. Donald leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, LaVerne; his children, Keith (Denise) Fraser of Elizabethtown, ON, and Heather (Ron) Young of Whitecourt, AB; four grandchildren, Scott, Brad, Graeme (Norah) and Tara; six great-grandchildren, Korre, Grayden, Keiran, Tristan, Lloyd and Eloise; sister, Islay Jack of Teulon, MB, and many dear relatives and friends. Predeceased by his grandson, Matthew; brother, James (Reta); sister, Margaret (Garnet); brother-in-law, Alec; infant brother, Howard; infant sister, Annabell. Thank you to Dr. Naiker and each of the staff of Extendicare-Mayerthorpe for the tremendous care, love and attention shown to Donald, LaVerne and the family. A private Celebration of Life will be held in Mayerthorpe. A private inurnment will be held at the Windsor Cemetery in Manitoba at a later date.
