It is with great sadness that the family of Don announces his passing on Friday March 4, 2016 at the age of 79. He will be forever remembered and loved by his wife, Ella; his children, Dean (Melody) Connie, Jeff (Debbie) Connie, and Rick (Liz) Jorgensen; grandchildren, Cameron Connie, Krista Jorgensen, Chris Connie, Trevor Jorgensen, Trevor Connie, Alex Pare, Alanah Connie, Sebastian Pare, Justin Connie, Brad Booth, Cameron Schwartzman, Brieanne Schwartzman, Sara Morris, and John Ramsey; and great grandchildren, Aiden Jorgensen, Aubre Jorgensen, Trinity Ramsey, and Sadie Morris. Don was also survived by his Edmonton adopted family, Corina (Dave) Hubert and their children, who Don always considered his grandchildren, Aydan and Ashton. Don was predeceased by his daughter, Tracey; parents, Reva and Frank; and brother, Jim. Don was well known for his great laugh, kindness and willingness to do anything for his family and friends. Don and Ella have been happily married for 44 years, together they loved to travel and spent the summers months camping. Don was an avid golfer and loved nothing more than playing around with his sons and grandchildren. He contributed to the community through the Capital City Clean Up program and canvassed for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday March 10 from 7:00 p.m.until 9:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Funeral Service Friday, March 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel with interment in Beechmount Cemetery.
