On May 5, 2015, Mrs. Dora Preugschas of Bloomsbury, AB, formerly of Mayerthorpe, AB, died peacefully at the age of 96 years. Dora was born and raised in Estonia, emigrating to Canada in 1952 with her husband and sons. The family settled and loved farming in the Barrhead and Mayerthorpe areas. Dora “Oma” welcomed everyone into her home where they were treated as family. We will always remember and be thankful for our Oma. Dora is survived by her son, Walter (Marjorie) of Bloomsbury and their children, Trina, and Kurt (Tanja) and son, Jurgen (Anne) of Mayerthorpe and their children, Yuri (Jill), Niko and Tara (Mike) and ten great-grandchildren, Lena, Lucy, Levi, Lex, Linnea, Logan, Olivia, Tommy, Tristan and Kaia. Predeceased by husband, Kurt; grandson, Nolan; her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Memorial Service Thursday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Mayerthorpe Baptist Church, 4606 - 54 Street with Reverend Ruth Lotholz officiating. Private inurnment.
