On May 28, 2017, Elizabeth Osinchuk passed away peacefully and surrounded with love at the University Hospital in Edmonton at the age of 78 years. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Allison (Tim) Button and her granddaughters, Amy and Anna; son, Scott (Myka ) Osinchuk; sisters, Olga (Wally) Gable and Pauline Kassian; and brother, Steve (Karen) Prelusky. Predeceased by her mother; father: and three brothers. A long-time resident of Whitecourt, AB, "Liz" to her friends and co-workers spent over 30 years in the hospitality industry as an owner and working manager at Mountain Pizza and Steak House. Customers were always greeted by her at the door with a warm welcome and smile. She took great pride in her work and looked upon her staff as her extended family. Liz also enjoyed gardening, spending time with her friends, good food and a glass of wine. Upon retirement she volunteered at Tennille's Hope Soup Kitchen where she continued to help others and the community. Her family would especially like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to Dr. Saini, the Medical Outpatient Unit and the entire team at 5F4 at the University of Alberta Hospital. All of these caregivers truly know the meaning of providing comfort and compassion to patients and their family in their time of need.
