Born in Reutte, Austria, August 29, 1933. Passed away peacefully June 17, 2016 at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre after a lengthy illness. Elsa is survived by her son, Gerhard; stepson, Peter; and in Austria her sister, Anni; remaining family and old friends. Predeceased by parents, Mary and Joseph Oberforcher; husband, Gerhard Klempert; and her beloved dogs. Elsa was very compassionate and went out of her way to help others. She always had time to listen to anybody who has touched her life. She was a true friend. Elsa touched many people during her journey through life and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends and neighbors. The family will be forever grateful to the wonderful people that helped improve the quality of the last phase of her life. A special thank you to the staff on 9Y at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, Dr Clark, The Home Care staff, and her wonderful neighbors. In keeping with Elsa's wishes, there will be no formal service. Her cremated remains will rest at Beechmount Cemetery.
