On August 22, 2016, peacefulness finally graced Ethel after suffering a lengthy illness at the age of 79 years. She is now at rest with her beloved Blackie. She is known to have a determined spirit, an independent nature, fabulous homemaker skills, a generous heart, and proudness of family. Ethel enjoyed being with family and friends, bingo, reading and participating in numerous charitable events. Ethel will be sadly missed and always remembered by her daughters, Linda (Michael) and Diane (Doug); granddaughters, Rachel and Kayla; sisters, Helen and Patricia; Goddaughter, Kimberley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Blackie; her parents, Nicholas and Tillie; and her brothers, Peter, Basil and Ernest. Memorial Service Wednesday, August 31 at 3:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton with Reverend Patrick Baska officiating.
