Filomena Bonanni
With great sadness, the family of Filomena Bonanni announces the passing of our mother and nonna on March 18, 2015 at the age of 86. She will forever be remembered for her strength, determination and courage. Born in Roccagorga, Italy and immigrated to Edmonton in 1957, where she raised her family and had a 35 year career at the University of Alberta Hospital. Filomena is survived by sons, Mario (Rossana) and Leo; three grandchildren, Franco (Raegan), Marco (Manuela) and John Ross, four great-grandchildren, Francesco, Isabella, Nolan and Blake and numerous relatives in Edmonton and Italy. She was predeceased by husband, Francesco and son, Saturno. The family would like to extend their thanks to all the staff at the Dr. Gerald Zetter Care Centre with special thanks to the staff in 2 South. Prayer Service Sunday, March 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue, Edmonton. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Reverend George Puramadathil CFIC officiating with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum.Obituary
