On August 12, 2016, George Babichuk of Smoky Lake, Alberta, passed away at the age of 86 years, surrounded by his loving family. George is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elsie; four children, Mike (Wendy) Babichuk, Joyce (Bill) Peeke, Lorna (Stuart) Ross and Glen (Diane) Babichuk; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, John Babichuk; and one sister, Mary Tychkowsky; as well as numerous family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Annie and Michael; and three siblings, Tom, Andrew and Irene. Prayer Service Thursday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church, 5210 – 40 Avenue, Smoky Lake. Divine Liturgy Friday, August 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church.
