On May 18, 2016, James “Jim” Sinclair McCallum of Drayton Valley, formerly of Mayerthorpe, passed away at the age of 95 years. Jim is survived by his wife, Irene; children, Wendy Jager, Leslie (Rick Jeune) McCallum, Doug (Carol) McCallum, Brian (Donna) McCallum, Helen (Wayne) MacArthur and Gordon (Marna Pratt) McCallum; brother, Alex (Buddy); sister, June; and many dear grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Predeceased by son, Ralph; son-in-law, Wayne; brother, Walter; sister, Edith; and brother-in-law, Edgar. Thank you to Dr. Murphy and the medical staff of the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre for the wonderful care provided for Jim. Jim always had a great outlook on life and a zest for living. Jim farmed and delivered propane in the Lac Ste. Anne region and worked all over the north on oil rigs. Following his retirement in Edson, then Drayton Valley, he enjoyed travelling throughout Canada. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
