On September 10, 2016, with his family by his side, Mr. John Michalewich lost his battle with cancer at the age of 82 years. John is survived by his loving wife, Cecile, of 57 years; daughter, Linda; son, Wayne (Cindy); son-in-law, Scott; grandchildren, Melissa (Lance) and Jena (Dan); great-grandchildren, Austin, Hudson, and Hailey; siblings, Mary, Helen, Sylvia, Walter (Florence), and Leonard (Sheila); sister-in-law, Olivia. Predeceased by his brother, Peter; and three brothers-in-law, Peter, Ray, and Bill. Thank you to the staff of the palliative care unit of the Redwater Hospital for their care and compassion shown to John. Memorial Service Thursday, September 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Redwater Alliance Church, 22017 - Hiway 38, Redwater. Cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.Obituary
