It is with great sadness that the family announces that Katie Kelba of Youville Home in St. Albert, formerly of Willingdon and Vegreville, passed away in the Sturgeon Community Hospital in St. Albert on May 19, 2016, surrounded by her family. Katie is survived by her husband of twenty-eight years, Mike Perepeletsa; five children, Christie (Andy), Marlene (Bill), Charlotte (Doug), Charles (Elaine) and Janice (Dave); nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; her only remaining sibling, Helen Svekla; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Constantine (Kost) Kelba; infant grandson, Christopher; son-in-law, Don; parents, Maria and Constantine Iftody; and six sisters and four brothers. Prayer Service Wednesday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Funeral Service Thursday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church (Boian), Township Road 562 and RR 143, Willingdon, AB. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church, c/o Box 28, Hairy Hill, AB. TOB 1S0.
