On January 16, 2016, Lena Mosiuk of Edmonton passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord at the age of 91 years old. Lena will be greatly missed by her sons, Dan, Randy (Darlene) and Doug (Karin); grandchildren, Devin, Cameron, Sydney, Graham, Scott, Sheldon, Shaylyn; her dear brother, Paul and sister-in-law Caroline and numerous extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Metro. Lena was born in Manitoba and moved to the Peace Country as a young girl. She worked hard on the family farm and moved to Edmonton as a young woman. She worked at the MacDonald Hotel, Alberta Hotel and Jockey Motel and had many fond memories of co-workers, friends and family. Lena was kind and generous, a loving mother and baba. She will also be remembered as an extraordinary gardener. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Sherwood Care for their wonderful care they provided Lena since May 2012. Funeral Service Saturday, January 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Elia, 11833-66 Street, Edmonton. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in honour of Lena to the charity of your choice.
